About
Fifty notes on remote access, written from both ends of the session.
The position
A remote session is a moment when one person trusts another completely and has no means of checking. Watching does not help, because the activity is legible only to the person performing it.
The same tools serve help and harm, and that is not a coincidence: ease of granting access is both the feature and the vulnerability.
So the protection is ritual rather than technical — what is said before, what is narrated during, what remains after.
Who it is for
Anybody who helps other people with computers: support technicians, and the far larger number of people who help a parent or a neighbour.
The consumer half of this collection is as long as the professional half, deliberately.
What is deliberately absent
Product names. Naming a legitimate tool in a chapter about fraud misdirects the warning.
Fraud statistics, which vary by orders of magnitude.
And any step-by-step account of how the fraud is run. The recognisable shape is the protection; the mechanics are not here.
Nothing here is legal advice
Obligations differ by jurisdiction and sector.
