A bill was pre-filed on our behalf in the Alabama Senate today and we will have a companion bill in the House. SB127 is written to protect broadcasters’ and other media organizations’ ability to cover, in any form or format and without interference, K-12 events, including high school sports.

We are also supporting a bill to improve our Open Meetings law and a separate bill to improve our Open Records laws. In addition, we will work to defeat a very bad body cam bill. That bill was introduced last year, as well, and died in committee.
