Oscar Rodriguez serves as President of the Texas Association of Broadcasters, a statewide, non-profit advocacy organization for the state`s 1,200+ free, over-the-air local radio and television stations. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Rodriguez began his career in public service as an Assistant Press Secretary to Gov. Mark White from 1984 to 1987. He then served a seven-year stint as a legislative liaison for the Texas Education Agency before joining TAB in 1994. He is a native Texan who grew up in McAllen and has lived in Austin since 1981.
